There are 16 images in this
page which correspond to 8
strokes. For each stroke,
there is a pair of images.
The first image in the pair contains the
spline approximation painted
in magenta and the original
stroke painted in black. The
spline approximations are
composed of straight lines and
Bezier curves. The second image
in the pair shows each of these
Bezier curves or lines in
a different color. These
snapshots are self explantory,
but some have short annotations.

Figure 1.a:
The magenta curve is the spline
approximation. It contains both
straight lines and splines.
Figure 1.b:The Magenta-blue segment is
approximated with two Bezier curves.
Figure 2.a:
Figure 2.b: Note the blue Bezier
approximation.
Figure 3.a:
Figure 3.b: Note the magenta curve segment.
Figure 4.a:
Figure 4.b: Note the blue and green
approximations.
Figure 5.a:
Figure 5.b: Note the blue and red
curve segments.
Figure 6.a:
Figure 6.b: One red approximation
on top and a few segments in the bottom.

portion on the loop.
