The first image in the pair contains the spline approximation painted in magenta and the original stroke painted in black. The spline approximations are composed of straight lines and Bezier curves. The second image in the pair shows each of these Bezier curves or lines in a different color. These snapshots are self explantory, but some have short annotations.
