8:00 PM Lecture on Jihad |
During the Q+A session, students play devil’s advocate by asking questions about suicide bombers and wars in Muslim countries. The recent prominence of Islam in the media and the controversy surrounding beliefs and practices such as jihad have moved Muslim students at MIT to learn more about their religion. Lectures on jihad, conferences about genocide in Gujarat, India, and talks about the political system of Saudi Arabia are some examples of recent events. |
