Each frame's content pane is associated with a layout manager that specifies how the attached components should be arranged.
The
default layout manager used with a content pane, the
border layout, allows five components to be added at positions
identified by "Center", "North", "East",
"South", and "West". In Segment 726, you
learned that "Center" arranges for a component to appear in the
center of the window.
