- The α parameter controls how details are modified:
0<α<1 amplifies detail, while α>1 attenuates it.
- The σr
parameter is a threshold distinguishing details from edges.
Smaller values limit the manipulation to smaller-amplitude variations.
- Edges were not modified, corresponding to β=1.
