Sea Dogs from CSAIL seadogs@csail.mit.edu Literature Reading Group Thursdays, 7 PM - 10 PM 3rd Week of the Month Home * Book * About |
"Dan Brown brings history to the masses by embedding Christian history into a fast-paced murder mystery in which a French cryptographer and an American art-historian race around Paris to decypher the code left by the curator of the Lourve upon his death. Although the historical discussion in this book is not as complete as in a work of non-fiction, the plot and the dynamics between the fictional characters nicely complement the historical discussion that Brown does present. Many themes, including a prominent focus on the "sacred feminine", emerge within both the historical and fictional worlds in this book." | ||
