> Anybody know if the EL century (2451) went to BC Rail and > then to MAN?? > > Joshua Yes - all the C425's went to BCR. (I have a slide in my collection that shows four of them in EL paint [including the freshly-repainted 2457], going through some beatiful mountain scenery on the Burlington Northern, working their way to British Columbia). They were disposed or (retired or sold) in late 1990 and 1991. Genesee Valley Transportation (parent of MA&N and Delaware-Lackawanna) managed to bag half the fleet of 12: 2452 (ex-BCR 802) on D-L, 2453 (ex-BCR 803) on MA&N, 2454 (ex-BCR 804) on MA&N, 2455 (ex-BCR 805) on MA&N, 2456 (ex-BCR 806 on MA&N, and 2451 (ex-BCR 811) on D-L. Oddly enough, I think the C425's are the second largest group of EL diesels extant AND operational! (The SD45-2's being the first)... Unless there are more than 6 SDP45's running around in their various paint schemes? :) - Paul ------------------------------
