The implementation of each tool is mapped to one or more simulation modules, which in turn interface with the core tetrahedral data structure. For example, the Hammer tool abstracts the necessary parameters for the FEM simulation package. Some simple tools, such as the dirt tool, may directly manipulate the data structure.
