opportunity to use Dylan ?

I may have an opportunity to use Dylan to build a prototype. I have 2
questions.

Does my project make sense ? The idea is to precompile XSLT style sheets
into, say a C program, which is then appplied to an XML input, to speed
things up. Any advice or pointers to work in this area appreciated.

Are there some Dylan resources I could use (like XML parsers etc.) ?
