Dan Weinreb's tale of Bawden's tracking down the
logic to the nested backquote is fascinating.  I wish
Scheme had persisted (in its standard) with the
quasiquotation-based macro instead of worrying that
innocents might get hurt.     

BTW, is your pilot implementation of Arc going to be in
CL?  Will it be called Arc-en-ciel?
