About the Instructors

Matias Aranguiz is a PhD candidate in law at Shanghai Jiaotong University. Befor returning to academia, he was a lawyer in Chile working on private and public sector. He works in financial regulation, women empowerment, and artificial intelligence and the law.

Leilani H Gilpin is a PhD student in artificial intelligence working under the supervision of Professor Gerald Jay Sussman. She works in the area of the explanatory artificial intelligence where she is working to teach autonomous machines to explain themselves for safety, security and accountability.
