Unfortunately, the correct way to compile and link your source code files depends on your C++ supplier and on your operating system. For example, the name of the program that compiles and links may be CC, g++, or cxx, just to mention a three popular examples. Accordingly, you may need to refer to your compiler manual, or to ask a local wizard, if the instructions given in the following segments do not work for you.
