Interface method signatures specify types and arguments, but they do not specify all the requirements that you might like to specify. For example, you might wish to specify that a method:

• Runs in less than 1 microsecond
• Uses a linear-time algorithm
• Reads no information from a file
• Returns the square root of the argument value
