Most Smalltalk programmers would never define a method with a method selector such as fattocalories or fatToCALORIES, because most Smalltalk programmers adhere to the following naming conventions:

• Method selectors consist of one or more English words.
• None of the words are abbreviated.
• The first character of each word, except the first, is an uppercase character; all the other characters are lowercase characters.
• There are no separator characters, such as _, between the words.
• The combination of words explains what the method does.

Your Smalltalk programs will look silly and amateurish to many Smalltalk programmers if you fail to adhere to the conventions.
