If you want to define a method with neither arguments nor local variables, then instantiate the following pattern in the class-hierarchy browser:

If you want to refer to the receiver of a message in a method, then use self.
If you want the value of an expression to be a method's value, then mark that expression with a answer marker, ^.
Smalltalk is blank insensitive.
Smalltalk is case sensitive. By convention, method names consist of English words run together, with all but the first capitalized.
If you want to insert a comment into a method, then mark both ends of the comment with double-quotation marks.

If you want to send multiple messages to one receiver, then cascade the messages, separating them with semicolons.
