529: Highlights
- If you want to simulate a sequence of events, then create an event
queue by sending a
sortBlock:
message to SortedCollection
,
initializing that event queue, and looping through the following recipe:
- Fetch next element from the event queue.
- Establish the time of the event and perform computations appropriate to the event.
- Add new elements to the event queue.
Smalltalk applications typically are built around an instance of an
application class. That instance provides
application-controlling instance variables and serves as an
application-launching receiver.
