"Postcards from MIT" is an art project where all members of the MIT community (Faculty, Staff, Students, and Alumni) are invited to submit a piece of artwork.
The only requirements are that the postcard must be 4" x 6" and it must be an original piece of artwork. The artist should only sign the back of the card, not the front. And the artwork should NOT be framed. The postcard is the actual piece of artwork, it is not being printed. Please do not send digital files. Submission deadline is Feb. 22, 2007.
The artwork can be a photograph, oils, pencils, crayons, watercolors, digital art, fabric, acrylics, pen, or other art material. Please do not make a color copy of the original art for your submission.
The result will be a show and sale of all the postcards at the Stata Center - Student Street on February 23, 2007 from 5-7 pm. All postcards can be purchased at the event.
All works will be for sale to benefit Rosie's Place. The price of the postcards is $10 (for students) and $15 (for faculty, staff, alumni) -buy four, get the fifth one for free! Free T-shirts (limited supply) will be available for participants or for sale.
