Postcards from MIT

Call for Artists

Put your creativity to work! "Postcards from MIT" is an art project where
all members of the MIT community (Faculty, Staff, Students, and Alumini)
are invited to submit a piece of artwork.

The only requirements are that the postcard must be 4" x 6" (template here) and it must be an original
piece of artwork.(You can use this template or make your own but the measurements must be 4" x 6").
The artist should only sign the back of the card, not the front. And the
artwork should NOT be framed.

The artwork can be a photograph, oils, pencils, crayons, watercolors, digital art, fabric, acrylics, pen,
or other art material. Please do not make a color copy of the original art for your submission.
You can submit more than one postcard (but use a separate entry form for each submission).
Think of each card as a mini work of art. It can be horizonal or vertical. There is no need
to make it a functional postcard, just name and title on the back.

The result will be a show of all the postcards on the Stata Center
- Student Street.

All works will be for sale to benefit Rosie's Place. The price of the postcards are $10 each (for students) and $15 for (faculty, staff, and alumni)
(Purchase four postcards, get the fifth one for free)

The show will be held on Friday, February 23, 2007 in the Stata Center(Student Street) from 5-8pm.
All postcards can be purchased at the event. (Payment for postcards is cash only).
