Currently I am an engineer at Mobi Systems working on intermodal routing and planning software for better urban transportion. I completed my PhD at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab at MIT under the supervision of Professor Brian Williams. My research focuses on the development of autonomous systems that can better collaborate with humans in planning and executing complex tasks, especially under over-subscribed and risky situations. I'm interested in a variety of topics in AI including planning, optimization and preference modeling, as well as their applications to transportation problems.

I received Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in June 2010, and Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT in February 2013.
Figures on the top: The one on the left is a Personal Air Vehicle in X-Plane. The vehicle is controlled by a temporal plan executive, Kirk, and my collaborative diagnosis algorithm (more details about this project can be found in the research page). The one on the right is the TERRAFUGIA flying car. I wish I could have my algorithm implemented on this car or other vehicles someday, and make them convenient transit options for the public.
