Yuanzhen Li

I completed my PhD (2009) at MIT with Prof. Edward H. Adelson. At MIT, I was a member of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) and the Perceptual Science Laboratory. I also worked at MERL, Adobe, and Microsoft Research Asia, on computer vision and machine learning projects.

I then made a few iPhone photography apps that automatically aligned and merged photos. They were popular in the 2009-2011 era, and one of them (TrueHDR) was an inaugural member of Apple's "App Store Hall of Fame".

I then founded a small company focusing on visual discovery using computer vision and machine learning. It was acquired by VSCO and I worked at VSCO as a Director of Engineering.

I then joined Google Research in 2019.
