I grew up in Berkeley, CA. I go by Andy or Andrew, take your pick. I'm always happy to hear from folks who are getting started in CS Theory, or who have questions/comments about something I've written.

I have a very-occasional blog, for complexity theory and other topics. I recommend the TOC Blog Aggregator to follow sporadic theory-blogs like mine.

Outside of work, I love running, reading for pleasure, and spending time with friends. Recently I've had a personal interest in musical acoustics (e.g. the study of timbre) and in music production. I also enjoy the game of Go.
