Cat video (.avi)

. . . shown in another video from the interactive system. Using a scanned mesh of an Egyptian cat, I created a volumetric model with three layers. Here is an interactive visualization of the model, clipped first in the z-plane, then in the x-plane.

The model is interactively sculpted, first with the hammer tool. I have specified that only the brittle fired clay on the exterior of the model will fracture and break away to reveal the bronze sculpture within. This model has approximately fifty thousand tetrahedra. Collision detection has been disabled for this session to improve interactivity.

Finally, the statue is cleaned and polished with a sphere-shaped tool that removes fired clay and brightens and shines the bronze material. All of these actions are automatically logged to a script file.
