That's a bit sweeping (as Weinreb fully knows), but I'd say it's a
pretty fair assessment. Fortunately, students are picking up
scripting on their own. Unfortunately, students are picking up
scripting on their own, so their understanding is often pretty random,
where it really ought to encompass the best of both worlds.
