MIT Museum
May 31st - June 2nd, 2002

The MIT Museum and MIT student art group, ATat (Arts and Technology at tech), present the third installment of the Collision Series, a celebration of arts and technology. Work from MIT students as well as boston area artists will be on display in the museum for the weekend. Mediums include interactive computer graphics, light sculpture, robots, digital clothing, soundscapes, video installations and more. Most works will call for a bit of audience participation so bring your creativity. There will be something for everyone. Artists include Jonathan Bachrach, Aaron Edsinger, Henry Kaufman, Brian Knep, Kevin McCormick, Ryan McKinley, Ben Piper, John Powell, Dan Paluska, Holly Gates, Casey Reas, Fran Trainor, Jeff Weber, David Webber, and Magaret Weigel.

"The art in the Collision shows appeals to people on so many different levels. I think many people are frustrated by the sterility of untouchable paintings in whitewashed galleries. Most of the technology used in the Collision shows is technology that brings the art closer to the viewer and allows the viewer to participate in a way they never have before.
