About this site

This is the personal website of Matthew Hong. It is hosted on infrastructure provided by MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), but its content and views are personal and do not necessarily represent MIT or CSAIL.

The site is built with Jekyll, Kramdown, and KaTeX. Third-party software and services remain subject to their own licenses, terms, and privacy policies.

Except where otherwise indicated, original writing, photographs, and other creative content on this site are © Matthew Hong. All rights are reserved except for uses permitted by applicable law, including fair use.

Software and source code distributed with the site’s MIT License may be used under that license. Material credited to other authors or sources remains the property of its respective rights holders and may be subject to separate terms.

Privacy

This site does not use first-party analytics or advertising, offer user accounts, or provide contact forms. Its own code does not set cookies. The CSAIL hosting infrastructure may process ordinary web-server request information; I do not control its logging or retention practices.

The ORCID icon and the site’s other visual assets are hosted with this site. External links, including the ORCID profile link, contact their destination only when you follow them. Some pages offer optional content supplied by third parties; when that content is requested, its provider may receive technical information normally associated with a web request and process it under its own privacy policy.

Comments and Disqus

Blog pages offer Disqus for public comments, but the Disqus embed is not requested until you select Load comments. If you load it, Disqus may use cookies or similar technologies and collect information such as IP addresses, cookie or device identifiers, browser information, pages viewed, and interactions with its service. Disqus describes its practices and visitors’ choices in its Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Data Sharing Settings guidance.

Comments submitted through Disqus are public and may be viewed, copied, indexed, or shared by others. Please do not include personal or sensitive information that you do not want made public. Commenters are responsible for the content they submit. I may moderate or remove comments where appropriate.
