At Akamai Technologies
I am currently working on measurements and analysis of IPv4 and IPv6 performance and topology.
Previously, I worked on the acceleration of applications over the Internet.
This work includes a routing overlay network, and forward error correction, and
also the mapping of requests from clients to appropriate Akamai
servers. The hard aspect of the latter is selecting,
from the many Akamai-server locations,
the best one,
which depends on Internet topology, and transient traffic conditions.
