Thanks for helping. I was able to get the command line open! Its the
closest thing to running that I've been able to get... but it crashed
within one second.
It was the dreaded:
This program has performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down....
Doh!
Maybe I should re-download the binary... I can't imagine it got
corrupted. I presume that the integrity of the binary has been checked
a couple of places along the way, and at install time.
Now why isn't this working?
I did load the 'enhanced version' first and installed it. The splash
screen still says 'enhanced version' even though I wiped out Virtual
PC, reinstalled win98 and the re-installed the Professional Version.
Any other ideas?
