I'm not sure how that differs from the behaviour of Smalltalks IDEs:
first I was only talking about VA, not Smalltak IDEs in general (and
besides VA is not just for Smalltalk) and second from what you say it
seems they are alike in working at the class level rather than at the
file level (actually VA is reportedly even more fine-grained). You can
