One example early on in the BRL manual is this:

<img src="/img/myface.jpg" alt="Bruce's face">
[)]

It would have saved this newbie some confusion.  However, I can see from
his subject line that he likes to use lots of different punctuation
marks, so it's probably best he stick with PHP.  :-)
