Companies Resume Home

Here are some companies I've been associated with.

Gensym Corp.

Gensym develops real-time expert system control software for the chemical process industry and also for other industrial applications. I was a co-founder of the company, one of the architects of G2, the company's flagship product, and later, director of application product development.

G2 features a developer interface that allows for definition of complex classes of objects representing components in a process plant. Behavior of these components is defined in terms of control rules, equations, tables, and dynamic simulations. An important novel feature is that behavior can be defined in terms of neighboring connected components. A user can then easily configure an entire application simply by connecting components in schematics such as the ones shown below.

Pegasystems Inc.

Pegasystems develops customer relationship management software. I was director of expert system product development. My group developed a forward and backward chaining declarative rule system that was integrated into the company's PegaRules product.

Monitor Company

Monitor is a management consulting company that also had an integrated IT consulting dividion at the time I was there. I worked in this division and led a project to develop a large intranet web site (over 300 pages) for a client in the telecommunications industry.

General Electric

General Electric was the first company I worked for after getting my undergraduate degree. I was in the company's Edison Engineering program, received a master's degree from RPI, and worked on a variety of equipment diagnostic software projects.

Radnet

Radnet was a company started by friends of mine from MIT (Andrew Ressler and Ed Fredkin). The company developed collaboration software (similar to Lotus Notes).
