 About us

This picture is our smoking gun. If you carefully examine this portrait of King Henry VIII, you will notice that his ears appear to be pointed. It is rather subtle, but I for one find the pointy ears more awe-inspiring than all his robes and finery. King Henry VIII's public relations people must have been very confident of this effect to be able to convince the King that wearing fake pointy ears wouldn't detract from his majestic appearance (notice, for example, the unavoidable and slightly undignified folding of his right ear- on your left- as it fails to fit comfortably in his hat.) To the best of our knowledge, neither King Henry VIII or his PR people were Star Trek fans, showing that the positive connotations of pointy ears are universal. (more)
