Industrial Affiliations
I have tried to remain pure in my research. NDA's
have a negative affect on my ability to profess about any topic.
Although I have not founded any startup companies (yet), I do have
some involvement.
- IBM I have
maintained a close contact with IBM's T.J. Watson Research Lab for
several decades. A half dozen of my PhD students worked there and
over a dozen of my MA students.
- Trellis-Photonics
While at Hebrew University, I did some work on Optical
Computing along with Prof. A. Agranat, who then went on to found a
company. Although I have no real financial stake in the company, I
have a strong emotional tie to it and think their technology is
great.
- Fasken,
Martineau and DuMoulin As a good citizen, I also do my share
of legal consulting (actually not very often). My most recent job
was for this legal firm.
