Look at Mindy's FFi implementation for how to do this interpretatively. 
It grabs shlbs, resolves the symbols, then calls them through a switch 
statement. On CFM you could even pass floats. I re-implemented the Mac 
version IIRC, although patrick Beard must have written a version 
originally.
