An emendation: in the message titled "Procedures
make me mad", each of the two occurrences of the
word "compiler" should have been "library":

  * I expect procedures to be implemented perfectly.  I must
  trust my library.

                                               ... I know precious few
  programmers who implement and test their own code to the level expected
